We define our world with our metaphors, our misconceptions, and our memories. What we hold as truth is little more than a collection of isolated episodes made whole by our own fabrications; tradition and history—and perhaps existence itself—are less terrestrial than we might care to admit. Ultimately, we must ask whether the realities to which we adhere are factual, or societal and cultural illusions.
These images ask a profound question at this moment, at any moment, in history: Whose reality is this?
